Issue with SC-P400 Firmware Update
Problem Description
I have a SC-P400 printer with FA20I4 20/04/2018 firmware from Epson. I followed the instructions provided on a website for updating the firmware, but I keep getting an Update failed message.
Troubleshooting Steps
I have tried updating the firmware multiple times using a solid USB cable on different USB ports, but I have not been successful.
Seeking Assistance
I followed the Step by Step Guide carefully as per the instructions. Step 4 suggests checking the firmware after the update to see if it has been successfully uploaded. My initial firmware is FA20I4 and the chipless firmware is also FA20I4. However, after the update failed message, I still see FA20I4 20/04/2018. I am unsure whether to proceed to the next step or purchase the Activation code as advised. Could someone please provide guidance on what to do next.
