Issue with Ink Cartridges Recognition after Firmware Upgrade

Background

I upgraded the Firmware on a WF-5710 successfully. However, when I gave the printer to a non-profit organization and they tried to install it at their location, the printer wouldn't recognize the ink cartridges.

Troubleshooting Attempts

I tried to update the firmware at their location since the printer was on a network, but it wasn't recognized. When I brought the printer back home to attempt another Chipless Conversion, I received a message to Please Update Our Firmware. Thinking that there might be a newer version, I downloaded the firmware for the WF-C5710 again and tried to upgrade, but still received the same message.

Solution

On the third attempt, the firmware upgrade worked successfully. However, I am concerned about moving the printer to a new location. Will there be an issue with ink cartridges recognition again? Do I need to run the firmware update at the new location?

Explanation
All modifications in the chipless firmware are internal and do not depend on external factors. This means that you can move the printer to any location and connect it to any device without changing the firmware, and it will remain chipless.

Additional Note
They have a Windows 7 PC that automatically updated the firmware when they started the PC. To avoid any issues, we need to remove the Epson file from their PC first.

Thank you!
