Troubleshooting the Activation Issue for Printer Firmware Update
Updating Firmware to FA24I5
I did go through the steps to update the firmware to FA24I5 successfully.Activation Key Issues
After ordering a key to activate, I encountered problems with the license.exe tool. When I started license.exe, the printer showed on USB001, but the activation online failed as the application hung (Feb 2024 version).Multiple Attempts and Solutions
I tried multiple computers and cables but still faced issues. I attempted to activate on both Windows 11 and Windows 10, using the USB B port on the side under the LAN. However, the printer seemed to show okay initially, but the application would freeze.Alternative Solution with Telnet
I tried the telnet on 211.159.168.205 20102, which seemed to work.Successful Activation
After seeking support and removing the printer, I used clean drivers for Windows 11. This allowed me to successfully run the activation, and the printer is now accepting the previously blocked cartridges.Thank you for the help and support.
