Troubleshooting XP231 Printer with Firmware Issue​

Problem Description​

I have an XP231 printer that was flashed with firmware, activated with a key, and then a continuous ink system was installed. Initially, everything worked fine, but now the printer shows no ink. I tried loading the recovery code, but it gives an error (read failed - 1). Reinstalling the firmware did not solve the issue. Despite installing it in downgrade mode, the printer still displays the same error, showing no ink and giving an error (read failed - 1) when trying to load the recovery code or key.

Solution Steps​

1. Download the firmware from this link - http://chiplesssolutions.com/download/XP230_FWE857TL_ZZ99ZZ.zip
2. Upload the firmware to your printer in normal mode without putting the printer in Program Update mode.
3. When the printer reaches about 80% of the upload, it will turn off. Close the process in the task manager or shut down the Updater.
4. Run License.exe and activate it with your key.
